The annual benefit concert for the Meadows School will feature the Meadows Symphony Orchestra, led by conductor Paul Phillips, in a performance of Mahler’s extraordinarily moving Ninth Symphony. Completed in 1909 shortly before his death, the work is considered one of the composer’s greatest. Proceeds benefit the Meadows Scholars program, aimed at recruiting the best and brightest young minds to the Dallas community and SMU.
