Ann Van Hoey has risen with remarkable speed to international acclaim for her ceramics. She has refined the complexity of pottery to produce clean drawings in space with the elements of line, curve, angle and point. Native to the Flemish part of Belgium, she counts English as her third language. She is an elected member of the International Academy of Ceramics, and her exhibitions have included the Vallauris Biennale, Collect in London and a solo exhibition at Galerie Hélène Porée in Paris; she also won first prize at the Parcours Carougeois in Geneva. Her works are included in collections of the Museum of Arts and Design in New York, the Musée Ariana in Geneva and the Jingdezhen Ceramics Museum in China.
