Meadows Fall Dance Concert

Classical ballet, evocative jazz and energetic contemporary works share the stage for the Fall Dance Concert. Featured will be Gerald Arpino’s Birthday Variations, a romantic and nuanced ballet with music by Verdi, which The New York Times praised as a “sparkling showcase of classical dancing.” The program also includes an intimate new work by jazz artist Danny Buraczeski set to Deep Ellum Nights by SMU professor and composer Simon Sargon; a dark and smoky clarinet creates a mood of quiet melancholy for this exploration of memory. Rounding out the concert are Robert Battle’s rousing Battlefield, and a new work created by SMU senior dance students Lee Duveneck and Corinna Phillips titled Zero Sum.

Price:
Tickets are $13 for adults, $10 for seniors (65 and over) and $7 for SMU faculty, staff and students.
