Murillo at the Meadows: A 400th Anniversary Celebration

Where: 

December 2017 marked the 400th birthday of Bartolomé Esteban Murillo (1617–82), luminary of Golden Age Seville. The Meadows Museum holds five of this star painter’s works, more than any other museum in the United States. To celebrate his quadricentennial, the museum is exhibiting its extraordinary Murillo works together with paintings by his Sevillian contemporaries, thus resituating Murillo within the artistic context with which he remains so intimately associated.

$12 for adults; $10 for seniors; $4 for non-SMU students; FREE for members, children under 12 and SMU faculty, staff and students; FREE Thurs. after 5 p.m.
