Jovanni-Rey de Pedro: Guest Piano Recital

Arthur Greene: Scriabin Piano Recital and Multimedia Presentation

Arthur Greene, Gold Medal winner in the William Kapell and Gina Bachauer international piano competitions and professor of piano at the University of Michigan, will present a piano recital and multimedia presentation, with Symbolist artworks, on music by the composer Alexander Scriabin. Professor Greene has recorded the complete études of Alexander Scriabin and has performed the composer’s 10-sonata cycle in many important international venues.

Alvin Zhu: Guest Piano Recital

Alvin Zhu, pianist and Young Steinway Artist, performs Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition and other piano masterworks. Zhu is recognized internationally for his musical talent and versatility. Continuing the legacy of his grandfather, the Chinese piano master Gongyi Zhu, Alvin has had acclaimed performances throughout the United States, Italy, France, China and Australia and has appeared in Alice Tully Hall and Steinway Hall in New York, the Sydney Opera House and Beijing Concert Hall. Alvin performs at SMU as the 2017 winner of the Patrick Price International Piano Competition.
