For 20 years, female athletes in Michigan State University (MSU) gymnastics and other sports complained of abuse from the team physician they trusted with their wellbeing. News reports estimate Dr. Larry Nassar may have sexually abused more than 150 girls and young women under the guise of medical exams and treatments. He was just sentenced to 40 to 175 years in prison last month. Journalist Emily Lawler will share her insights from her year-long coverage of this scandal, which has brought a firestorm of investigations on MSU from lawmakers and the attorney general.
